ABOUT JOHN MCCLEAN
Meet the Owner of Irish Roofing
Born and raised on a small farm in Newcastle, County Downs, Ireland, John grew up surrounded by construction, learning roofing at just 10 years old. After school, weekends, and holidays were spent working on the farm or building sites. At 18, he joined the Irish Defence Forces, serving seven years with the United Nations in South Lebanon. Returning home, John managed major projects in Dublin and later in London as Senior Project Manager for multimillion-dollar developments.
In 2013, John pursued his American dream, working with top construction and roofing companies before becoming Vice President of Multi Pro Roof Solutions. Following Hurricane Michael in 2018, he worked with FEMA in Panama City, Florida, and later ran sales for Shield Roofing, serving high-profile clients across the U.S.
Despite his achievements, John has stayed grounded, giving back through regular volunteer work at St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army. Today, he enjoys golf, fatherhood with his newborn son Liam, and family time with his stepsons Jonah and Benjamin—always believing the best part of the day is dinner with family.
